1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Peppy Taps Limited (NZBN TBC) ("we", "us", "our", "Peppy Taps"). By accessing the website peppytaps.co.nz or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. Definitions
- "Website" — peppytaps.co.nz and any related subdomains
- "Products" — the taps, filters and related items we sell
- "You" — the person using the website or placing an order
- "Authorised Retailer" — any third party we have approved to sell our products in New Zealand
3. Use of our website
You may use the website for its intended purpose: to browse, configure, research, and (where available) purchase our products. You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Interfere with the site's normal operation (e.g. denial-of-service, scraping at scale, automated bot attacks)
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our website code, designs or content except as permitted below
- Impersonate any person or entity
4. Accounts and registration
You don't need an account to browse the site. If we offer accounts in the future, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
5. Orders, pricing and payment
All prices on the website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are recommended retail prices — authorised retailers may set their own pricing.
We reserve the right to:
- Change prices at any time without notice (changes do not affect orders already accepted)
- Limit quantities of any item
- Refuse or cancel any order, for example where a pricing error has occurred, the product is unavailable, or we suspect fraud
If you place an order through our website, a contract of sale is only formed when we confirm the order and payment has been processed.
Pricing errors
We try hard to keep pricing accurate but errors can happen. If we notice a significant pricing error after you place an order, we will contact you and either cancel the order (with full refund) or offer you the chance to proceed at the correct price.
6. Shipping and delivery
Delivery timeframes depend on your location and the product — we'll confirm estimated dispatch and delivery windows in your order confirmation email. Risk of loss transfers to you on delivery to the address you provide.
7. Returns and refunds
If you change your mind, we offer returns on unused products in original packaging within 30 days of delivery (you pay return shipping). Installed or used products cannot be returned for change of mind.
This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (see section 9).
8. Warranty
The Peppy Taps tap, boiler and chiller are covered by a 2-year replacement / parts & labour warranty for residential use, or 12 months for commercial use. The warranty starts on the date of original purchase from an authorised Peppy Taps retailer.
What's covered
- Manufacturing defects in the tap, boiler and chiller
- Replacement parts and labour during the warranty period (residential)
What's not covered
- The filter cartridge itself — service life varies with water quality and consumption
- Tank water systems (only mains water connections qualify; tank water voids the warranty)
- Damage caused by failure to replace the filter cartridge every 12 months
- Damage caused by installation by anyone other than a licensed plumber following the manufacturer's instructions
- Damage from misuse, abuse, accident, neglect or unauthorised modification
- Normal wear and tear, including finish wear from improper cleaning products
- Damage from water supply outside the product's specified operating range (pressure spikes, sediment, unfiltered water)
Maintaining your warranty
To keep your warranty valid you must:
- Have the system installed by a licensed plumber
- Replace the filter cartridge every 12 months
- Retain your proof of purchase from an authorised Peppy Taps retailer
Making a claim
To make a warranty claim, contact us at enquiries@peppytaps.com.au or 0800 434 756 with:
- Customer name and address
- A description of the problem
- Contact details and date of purchase
- Date of installation and confirmation it was performed by a licensed plumber
- Manufacture date from the data plate on the boiler and/or chiller
9. Consumer guarantees (NZ)
Our products come with guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be excluded for consumer purchases. Where a product fails to meet a guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy — repair, replacement, or refund — depending on whether the failure is of a substantial character.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the CGA or the Fair Trading Act that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you acquired our products in trade for business purposes, the parties agree that the CGA does not apply (section 43 CGA) — to the extent permitted by law.
10. Intellectual property
All content on the website — including text, photos, product images, illustrations, logos, the "Peppy Taps" name and trade marks, the registered design (No. 202410381), and website code — is owned by Peppy Taps or our licensors. You may view, download and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute or sell our content without written permission.
11. User content
If you submit a review, photo, or other content to us (for example through social tags or a reviews feature), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce and display that content in connection with our business (e.g. to feature your kitchen on our website). You warrant that you have the right to grant this licence and that your content is not defamatory, infringing, or unlawful.
12. Third-party links and services
The site may link to third-party websites (such as retailer websites, social platforms, or installation partners). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, or product availability.
Our dealer locator uses OpenStreetMap data under the OpenStreetMap licence.
13. Disclaimer and liability
We take care to keep the website accurate and available, but to the extent permitted by law:
- The website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We don't guarantee the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Lifestyle photography is for illustrative purposes only — actual installations will vary
- To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any loss arising from the website or a product is limited to the price you paid for the relevant product
None of this limits any non-excludable guarantee under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the website at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. By continuing to use the site after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You and Peppy Taps submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
